ANTARCTICA – OFFICE OF ICE & ROCK
Filmed and produced by me. Music by Rhian Sheehan, ‘Little Sines’.
This footage was compiled from an expedition to Mackay Glacier, Ross Sea, Antarctica. The main aim of this expedition was to collect rock samples adjacent to the glacier in order to find out how thick it was during the last ice age, and the style and rate at which it subsequently thinned.
The findings were published in Nature Communications and reported by the New Zealand Herald and Radio NZ (featuring interviews).
